A right Royal baby shower. Kate Middleton’s celebration (as imagined by Alison Jackson)

A right Royal baby shower. Kate Middleton’s celebration (as imagined by Alison Jackson)

Pin the nappy on the baby. Cupcakes with little bottles made of icing. Bunting, bunting and even more bunting. Who doesn’t love a good baby shower? Especially when you imagine what Kate Middleton’s might be like…

As Kate enters her third trimester, her baby shower has been imagined and brought to life by esteemed photographer Alison Jackson, famous for her mock set-ups of celeb scenarios.

At the centre of the pics are Kate and her bump in a fuchsia dress, flanked by Camilla petting a corgi and Her Maj admiring a ‘Born to Rule’  babygro. Over the past few years Kate and the Queen have become quite close, so she may well make an appearance at the real thing.

Also present is Kate’s mother Carole and her younger sister Pippa, who, with her expert party-planning ways, is keeping everyone’s drink of non-alcoholic Shloer topped up. The presents in the shots suggest a boy is on the way – a toddler sports car and a teddy in a blue jumper – although the Royals have been
-؟lipped about the sex of the unborn baby. Enough to make you do a double-take, right
